Focal Laser Ablation with treatment control using TRANBERG® by CLS

We look forward to showing you how our TRANBERG® Thermal Therapy System is used for focal therapy in localized prostate cancer, with treatment monitoring and control.

The system is compatible with various imaging systems, including US fusion and MRI. When using US-fusion the system temperature probes measure tissue temperature in real time during the procedure.

Our thermometry software (Thermoguideâ„¢) enables in-bore MR-guided laser ablation and calculates and displays temperature and estimated thermal damage in near real time.

Dr Pierre Charles Henry - Medical Center Chateau Galland Besançon, FR

Prostate Innovations from Boston Scientific

The hands-on workshop will include demonstration and opportunities for hands-on training utilising Rezūm, SpaceOAR and Focal Prostate Cryoablation, exploring all aspects including patient selection, needle placement, energy modulation, duty cycles and post-operative follow-up.

Mr Taimur Shah - Imperial, UK

Not all HIFU is the same  - A Simulated Experience with Sonablate Robotic HIFU Ablation

Join Mr Tim Dudderidge for a hands-on course in focal Sonablate HIFU. During the interactive session, Mr Dudderidge will guide you through the process of selecting focal HIFU patients from clinic presentations, mpMRI, targeted biopsy and how diagnostics determine focal HIFU candidacy.

From there, he will discuss the focal Sonablate HIFU treatment, including planning, margin determination, power dosing and tissue change. The lecture portion will end with an explanation of the follow up protocol of these patients. Mr Dudderidge will then guide you in a mock focal Sonablate HIFU treatment while you will be able to follow along on a simulator.

Hands-on discovery session with the SamanTree Medical Histolog® Scanner

The Histolog® Scanner is confocal microscope that can be located directly in the operating theatre to digitally scan the surface of fresh tissue specimens.

The high-resolution images generated by Histolog in less than 1 minute mirror the histology images seen in frozen-section and permanent section pathology, allowing the possibility of immediate margin assessment or presence-of-cancer confirmation in biopsies.

The Histolog Remote platform allows a pathologist in a remote location to directly view and annotate the images on the Histolog Scanner, allowing real-time interaction with the operating theatre team.

Imperial College is currently evaluating Histolog in robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RALP) and trans-urethral resection of bladder tumours (TURBT), with evaluations in other specialties also under discussion.

Mr Nikhil Mayor - Imperial Prostate, UK
